Litigation Administrative Assistant

National firm with multiple offices across the U.S. is seeking a Administrative Assistant for its Los Angeles office.  Administrative Assistants will work with an experienced and seasoned Attorney and support team on high level litigation cases.  Administrative Assistants are expected to Shareholders, Of Counsel and Associates in a busy office. After initial training, this role will be a hybrid in-office position.

Litigation Administrative Assistant daily responsibilities include:

  • E-Filing and E-Service with Federal and State Court
  • Proficiency with local court rules
  • Mastery of Microsoft Word, including styles, numbering and schemes, Excel, Adobe, Workshare redlining and Best Authority
  • Assisting attorneys in preparing, proofreading and revising documents
  • Preparing briefing binders
  • Calendaring using Vision Compulaw and Outlook
  • Maintaining files and records using FileSite/iManage, experience is preferred
  • Submitting new business intake, conflict check requests, preparing engagement letters
  • Client billing
  • Preparing expense reimbursement, budget and check requests
  • Coordination and handling of client audit requests
  • Scheduling travel, appointments and maintaining of calendars, reminders
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Working independently and as part of a coordinated team
  • Availability to work overtime
  • Cross-desk support for LA Office Legal Administrative Assistants during absences or other office workflow needs

Qualified Litigation Administrative Assistant candidates will have:

  • 5-7 years of litigation experience focusing on Complex Civil Litigation, Commercial Litigation, National Class Action, Multi-District Litigation, Mass Torts, Business Litigation and Trial Support.
  • Bachelor’s degree or requisite experience.
  • Ability to work in-office in firm’s West Los Angeles office.

Ella graduated from Loyola Marymount University in May of 2022 with a Bachelor’s in History and Spanish. As an undergraduate, Ella loved to learn about the intersectionality of the past and present through culture, law, language, and the arts.

Shortly after graduation, Ella moved to a small town in Spain, Segovia; about an hour outside of Madrid. She taught English in a classroom setting to elementary and middle school aged students across five small, rural pueblos. After moving back to LA a year later, Ella expressed an interest in recruiting and law, and was connected with Mitch. Ella looks forward to learning from Mitch about employment from the recruiting lens and values the professional expertise he has to offer.​
