An established manufacturing company that specializes in engineering and technical performance is seeking a goal-oriented HR Generalist to join their team in Fairfield, Iowa.
The HR Generalist is responsible for developing and executing strategic HR initiatives to meet organizational goals involving talent management, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development. They provide guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, and therefore requires a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to drive change and influence decision-making.
HR Generalist responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with managers to identify staffing needs, participate in the recruitment process, and support the selection and onboarding of new employees.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and enhance employee satisfaction and productivity.
- Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement, and develop and implement strategies to address them.
Qualified HR Generalist candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience as an HR Generalist or in a strategic HR role.
- Experience with HRIS systems and other HR-related software.
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
