Client Billing Specialist

Client Billing & Cash Application Specialist needed to join a well-established law firm on the West Side of Los Angeles supporting a high-volume training and program department. This hybrid role is a great opportunity to gain exposure across both operational and financial processes, including billing, receivables, and program coordination. The position is ideal for someone early in their career who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in building long-term growth within a collaborative, professional environment.

Client Billing & Cash Application Specialist Responsibilities Include:

Training Practice Group Billing:

  • Prepare, review, and process client invoices for the Firm’s Training Practice Group in accordance with firm policies and client guidelines
  • Edit prebills and coordinate revisions with attorneys and staff
  • Ensure accuracy of time entries, rates, and expenses prior to final billing

Cash Receipts / Accounts Receivable:

  • Process and post daily cash receipts, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments
  • Apply payments to client matters accurately and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and maintain deposit records and reconcile receipts to bank activity
  • Research and resolve unidentified or misapplied payments
  • Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and collections efforts

General / Administrative:

  • Respond to internal and external billing and payment inquiries in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with attorneys and administrative staff to resolve billing or payment issues
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and financial information
  • Assist with timekeeper and rate setups and updates in Firm

Qualified Candidates Should Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong attention to detail with organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting
  • Basic exposure to accounting, finance, or business operations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Interest in long-term growth within a professional services environment

Additional Details:

Hybrid schedule based on business needs

Salary range: $55,000 – $70,000 depending on experience
