Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities Include:
- Leaves of absence
- Benefits administration and enrollment
- Performance reviews, administration, and support
- Creation of tailored company policies and development of employee handbooks
- FLSA/DLSE exemption audits and classification
- Employee relations issues
- Deliver compliance and other topical training and/or coaching to both leaders and employees (harassment prevention, supervisor skills, wage and hour basics )
- Recruitment
- Other areas of HR, including compensation, HRIS systems, legal compliance, I-9 audits, etc.
Qualified Human Resources Generalists Should Have:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or current HRCI or SHRM certification, and 6 months – 2 years of human resources/people operations experience required
- Ability to deftly switch between clients/projects (strong organizational skills)
- Possess or achieve exceptional current knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws
- Ability to work independently and understand complex situations to reach well-reasoned conclusions that consider risks and benefits
- Knowledge of or aptitude for HRIS, Payroll, and Timekeeping systems such as: BambooHR, ADP Run, ADP Workforce, Kronos, Paycor, etc.
