This position will be responsible for technology training and support for all attorneys, paralegals and staff through a variety of remote, e-learning, classroom and one-on-one training methods.
This is a customer focused role, promoting user learning and adoption, participate in all training activities including; needs assessment, creation of course curriculum, documentation and materials. As a member of the IT team, the Systems Trainer will play a role in testing, evaluation and recommendation of new software. This role will work closely with IT Support team to provide troubleshooting and support of escalated technical issues as well as reviewing helpdesk tickets to identify training opportunities. Occasional travel to the Irvine and San Francisco offices providing new-hire, group and follow up training.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Five years of related work experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services firm.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010/2016, Windows 7/10, iManage or other Document Management systems, Communication Systems , PDF creation and editing software, document assembly and numbering tools, styling and redline programs such as Innova, Forte, DocXTools, Change-Pro, Best Authority and other legal specific applications.
Self-motivated, organized and customer focused.
Ability to learn new applications and concepts quickly and independently.
Excellent written and documentation skills.
Effective communication skills with the ability to deliver technical information in non-technical terms with all levels of users at the firm.
Ability to effectively troubleshoot and quickly identify issues and take appropriate action to resolve or escalate.
Ability to engage users of all skill sets and learning needs and possesses an understanding of learning techniques/principles.
Ability to work well in a high pressure environment with competing priorities and adapt quickly to change.
