Human Resources Business Partner - San Bernandino & Chatsworth

Human Resources Business Partner needed for a non-profit organization specializing in community, child and family well-being at its office in San Bernardino. This role will be primarily responsible for supporting the Human Resources operations in areas of recruitment, employee relations, and performance management. The HR Business Partner will report directly to the HR Manager and will be the point of contact for employee safety, benefits, and leaves of absence.

 HR Business Partner Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary point of contact for employees for inquiries regarding employment, policies, procedures, and payroll and/or benefits issues

  • Provide advice and counsel to management on appropriate resolution of employee relation issues

  • Conduct investigations and make recommendations regarding issues of disputes and/or misconduct

  • Manage the employee exit process and conduct exit interviews to determine turnover trends

  • Attend unemployment insurance claim hearings

  • Assist with full-cycle recruiting process of employees (exempt, non-exempt and temporary), including posting job ads, screening candidates, interview coordination, and preparation of offer letters

  • Manage recruitment process through the ATS system Ultipro, including AAP and OFCCP data

  • Work with HR Benefits team with tasks related to the company’s medical, dental, and open enrollment programs

  • Participate in routine safety walk-throughs with various management related topics

 Ideal HR Business Partners will have:

  • Bachelors degree with a Business Management/Human Resources focus, or related field

  • 3+  years of related Human Resources experience, with a focus in Recruitment and Employee Relations

  • PHR certification, preferred

  • Knowledge of UltiPro software, a strong plus

  • Ability to communicate effectively and engage with employees at all levels
