Data Analytics Associate

Data Analytics Associate needed for a respected, growing financial firm located in Newport Beach, California. This Data Analytics Associate will be part of the Finance & Accounting team, reporting directly to the Business Applications Manager.  Ideal candidates must enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and detail oriented.

 Specific Data Analytics duties include:

  • Perform data uploads (ETL, CSV, FTP Transfers) & data validations

  • SQL (querying & report writing), SSRS, YSR (Yardi Spreadsheet Reporting)

  • Generates and maintains statistical data models, specific to client related solutions, trend findings, or other data models as requested

  • Manage integrity of data fed to all software solutions used across all departments

  • Responsible for data integrity for the following applications (but not limited to): Yardi Voyager, AVID Xchange, VTS

  • Reviews current models in Microsoft Excel to create efficiencies

  • Acts as a liaison for internal inquires and manages special projects

  • Develops and presents findings to internal management

  • Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships across departments and teams

 Ideal Data Analytics candidates should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred

  • MCSA: SQL Server 2012/2014, and expertise in SSMS and Visual Basic preferred

  • 3+ years of experience conducting research and analysis

  • Expertise in SQL and ability to optimize queries in Yardi Voyager (7s)

  • Experience working in AVIDxChange

  • Experience articulating data and technical concepts

  • Experience documenting data concepts and terminology in the form of business workflows and mappings

  • Experience analyzing real estate portfolio assets and/or financial statements

  • Experience in Financial Services, Private Equity, and/or Real Estate

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure platform (e.g., Azure-SQL)

  • Strategic, analytical, technical, and project management skills
